The Gardens in February

Plants are still resting in February. We use fertilizer to stimulate root growth. Many perennials are planted for the season, such as delphinium, campanula, and dianthus. Cuttings are taken from various plants and propagated at Cambria Nursery and Florist. We continue to put out mulch and aerate lawns. Shrubs and trees are pruned throughout the property to control shape and size as well as stimulate new growth. The leptospermum is blooming in the White Garden. Caterpillars are turning into Monarchs in the Butterfly Garden. We pray for rain.
