We Care About Your Health & Safety

We feel it’s important to share the changes we are making in response to the coronavirus (COVID-19) and precautions we already have in place, to let you know that your health and safety is our number one priority. Here at Moonstone Hotel Properties, nothing is more important than the health and safety of our guests and employees. While we always strive to maintain the highest standards when it comes to cleaning and maintaining our hotels, we're taking it even further by increasing the frequency of our cleanings on public areas and being very thorough in our guest rooms.


We are staying up-to-date on all of the latest developments and guidelines suggested by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, World Health Organization, our local Health Departments and other appropriate agencies. We always have your health and safety as our highest priority and are taking it a step further by increasing the amount of safety and sanitization steps to our cleaning schedules.


We would like to share what we are doing with you, in order to provide peace of mind and ensure you we are taking your safety seriously and taking the necessary precautions during your visit to one of our properties:

  • Rooms Left Vacant for Several Days Between Guests: We are rotating the use of our guest rooms as much as possible, leaving them vacant for several days between guests. According to the CDC, studies suggest that coronaviruses may persist on surfaces for a few hours or up to several days. After a guest checks out, we are cleaning and sanitizing the room, then leaving it vacant for several days before admitting a new guest into that room. In some limited cases, when there is only one of a specific room type available, this may not be possible. In that case, we would be happy to move you to another room type that has been vacant for several days.
  • We're now offering contactless check-in! You will receive a text message on the morning of your arrival, just click the secure link and fill in your payment information. You will be charged a $1 authorization that will be refunded immediately. That way, when you arrive, you won't have to hand us your cards! If you would rather share your information in person, you're welcome to do that too.  
  • Sanitizing: Our housekeeping staff is regularly sanitizing all surfaces that are frequently touched using a disinfectant, certified to kill COVID-19. We are focusing on all surfaces in guest rooms (including doorknobs, light switches, countertops, microwaves, and remotes) and public spaces (terminals and pens at the front desk, stalls and surfaces in the bathroom, menus and tables in the restaurant, and more). In addition to sanitizing our television remotes, we are also putting them into plastic bags. We are also continuing to launder all linens and towels in hot, soapy water. Our front desk staff are instructed to sanitize all surfaces every half hour. 

  • Handwashing: We have continued to emphasize and train employees to follow our strict handwashing policies, which include requiring employees to wash their hands at least every 30 minutes (for at least 20 seconds) with soap and water. We also require employees to wash their hands every time after using the restroom and before eating, preparing or handling food. We ensure all soap dispensers have soap and paper towels present at all times and have signage posted in restrooms to remind guests of frequent and thorough hand washing practices.

  • Employees exhibiting any signs of sickness are prohibited from working.

Our Corporate and Management leadership teams are conferring daily in order to closely monitor the situation and information from public health officials and will continue to exceed their prevention guidelines to help keep our properties clean and our guests safe. The health and safety of our guests and employees is our highest priority.

Restaurant & Breakfast Changes

Our restaurants will no longer be open to sit in meals. However, we are making the following changes so that we can accommodate our guests and help our community during this time: 

  • Breakfast: Guests will be given a breakfast menu with their check-in packet. Orders for breakfast must be placed with the front desk by 9 PM for delivery between 8-9 AM the next morning. 

  • Lunch: CLOSED

  • Bar: CLOSED

  • Dinner:

    • Our restaurant is now open to hotel guests for dine-in service daily from 5-8 p.m! Our staff is excited to welcome you back, but your safety is our number one priority. Keep reading to learn the precautions we are taking to ensure the safety of all of our guests. 

      Our restaurant and lounge staff are fully trained and strictly monitored to operate in accordance with both local and national public health guidelines. We have limited the capacity of our restaurant and are allocating tables to ensure proper social distancing. Because of the precautions we are taking, some parties may be seated in one of our ballrooms instead of the restaurant. We will be taking walk-ins only if it is available at the time, however, we STRONGLY suggest making reservations through OpenTable or by calling the front desk. If you would prefer to eat in your room, we are still offering room service. 

    • Room service with a limited menu, included in the check-in packet, will be available to guests if you would prefer to eat in your room. Guests may order beer and wine with room service. Orders are to be placed with the front desk at (805) 927-4200.

    • From Thursday to Monday each week we will be offering family-style dinners available for delivery and take-out! Each night, we will have themed dinners with servings for 2 to 6 people to share with your entire family. Orders must be submitted by noon on the day you would like to receive the order. Place your orders by calling (805) 927-4200 or by filling out our online order form. Orders will be available for delivery to customers in the 93428 zip code and will be delivered between 5-6:30 PM on the day the order was placed. Take-out is also available for those who don't live in Cambria, or would prefer to pick up their meal. Check out our weekly menu below!
