Yes, we're pleased to welcome your four-legged friends to the property in select pet-friendly rooms and suites. These accommodations must be reserved in advance by calling our reservations department directly at 800-966-6490. They cannot be reserved online. There is a nightly pet fee of $25 for up to two well-behaved pets. Pets must never be left unattended in the guest room, even if they are crated. Dogs must be on a leash at all times when outside of the guest room. Read all about our pet policies here.
We do not have a gym on site; however, there is a walking path around the property along with an outdoor heated swimming pool and nearby hiking trails. A local gym offers our guests passes for $15 per day.
Although we do not have specific discount rates for these segments, we recommend contacting our reservations staff at 800-966-6490 to check for the best available rate.
Hearst Castle is about ten miles (approximately ten to 15 minutes) north of Cambria Pines Lodge on Highway One.
We do not sell tickets for Hearst Castle. As the State of California runs Hearst Castle, we are unable to offer discounts. Tickets can be purchased online at www.hearstcastle.org.
There is a walking path available from the Lodge to downtown Cambria. This "Nature Trail" is a mix of dirt trail and wooden steps with approximately 250 stairs from top to bottom. It is available at the risk and discretion of our guests. As the path is not lit, we do not recommend using it at night.
Moonstone Beach Drive is a little more than two miles away. It's about a five-minute drive from the Lodge.

There are seven wineries in Cambria and San Simeon, including Cutruzzola Vineyards and Stolo Family Vineyards. Check out the details at www.pacificcoastwinetrail.com. There are also two fun wine tasting shops in Cambria called Wine:Taste and Fermentations. If you're up for a little drive, you can enjoy dozens of wineries and tasting rooms on Highway 46 within 30 minutes of Cambria Pines Lodge.
Although we do not have a shuttle, there are several local businesses that offer wine tours and transportation. Two companies our guests enjoy using are The Wine Wrangler and the Wine Line.
Our outdoor, heated pool is open daily from 8am-10pm. Chairs in the pool area are spread out and sanitized regularly.
Our outdoor hot tub remains closed in accordance with San Luis Obispo County’s reopening plan. We will reopen this amenitiy when we are able to.
Cambria Pines Lodge has a year-round, outdoor heated pool and spa. The pool is heated to 80 degrees while the spa is heated to 103 degrees. Pets can go into the pool enclosure if they are properly restrained, but they must never be in the pool or the spa.
Cambria Pines Lodge does not have rollaway beds; however, our Large Suites can sleep up to six people comfortably. If you are traveling with a small child, you may request a Pack ‘N Play, which is complimentary and available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Our complimentary breakfast is hosted in our Outdoor Market tent from 8-10 AM. Please note that we are no longer able to offer our breakfast buffet or any self-serve items as we have in the past; based on this menu items may be limited.
Although guests are welcome to request a specific room number, we are never able to guarantee a specific room in advance due to potential unforeseen guest or maintenance issues. Room numbers are assigned at the time of check in and cannot be confirmed prior to arrival. If we are unable to accommodate a specifically requested room number and a guest wishes to cancel for that reason, s/he will be held to our cancellation policy.
A guest who wishes to cancel can do so without a charge up to 72 hours prior to arrival. Any cancellation made within 72 hours of arrival will be charged a $50 cancellation fee. A cancellation received on the day of arrival will be charged the first night's room and tax.
